THE meeting in January was enjoyable and instructive. All members practised CPR and defibrillator technique and the questions, however naive, were clearly answered and explained. On Monday, 20 February, at 2pm, the group looks forward to an illustrated talk on ‘The Gardens of Ceredigion.’ Pat Causton, the county organiser of the National Garden Scheme will speak about the generous people who open their gardens to the public during the season and raise funds for the nursing and caring charities. The meeting takes place in the Bowls Clubhouse. Visitors are welcome (£2). The talk is followed by refreshments and a Business meeting.

LAST week’s meeting was an in-house, pdi competition on the theme of People/Person, judged by club members Margaret and Mike Jones, with a very worthy winner in Arnold Phipps-Jones, from a collection of forty projected images. Arnold explained how, where and when, the image was taken; and it is the very talented Arnold who is presenting this week’s meeting, on 16 February, at the Memorial Hall, 7.30pm, entitled, ‘From Humble Beginnings To !!!’, a demonstration of ‘Silver Effects’.New members are always very welcome.
