LESLEY Batson kindly offered to help with the vacant position for club secretary, although she did not, at this point in time, wish to take the official title of secretary.

Speakers: Bob Dunn will speak at the March meeting and Christopher Gower will be at the club in April with a talk entitled ‘My years in the Hertfordshire Constabulary’.

Margaret Hughes said she had spoken with Rev Kathleen Rogers who has provisionally agreed to speak in either June or July.

Bob recorded his gratitude to Margaret who has been instrumental in securing agreement from both Chris Gower and Kath Rogers.

He then introduced speaker Dilys Williams who was warmly welcomed.

The vote of thanks following her talk on ‘Welsh Drovers’ was unanimously passed.
