THE Community Hub has had a successful couple of weeks hosting many activities from organisations locally.

The Red Nose Day disco held in the hub by the Penparcau Youth in aid of Comic Relief was a huge triumph, great fun was had by all and £70 was raised for a fantastic cause.

Some members of the Penparcau Youth enjoyed an educational and fun trip to the Big Bang Science Fair in Birmingham.

The curry and quiz night was also great success with multiple teams competing, all proceeds will go towards further youth projects and events.

The forum had its first 60+ shopping trip to Morrisons which will be a fortnightly occurrence on a Tuesday - with the week in between being a 60+ club based in the Hub.

The café will be open through-out the week as usual offering fantastic value drinks and food, additionally there are many events taking place this week in the Hub that you won’t want to miss!

Welsh Hearts have supplied the village with four defibrillators so far, and another coming soon.

On 3 May, there will be a fashion show for Penparcau Community Forum and Hafan y Waun, 7pm until late. Children free, Adults £8 to include a glass of prosecco and canape on entrance; amazing local cause and great night to be had by all, get your tickets from the Hub.

Another upcoming event on the 1 June is the Polish Heritage Day, last year the event was hugely successful.
