THE Community Hub in Penparcau has had a successful couple of weeks hosting many activities from organisations locally.

The Red Nose Day disco held in the hub by the Penparcau Youth in aid of Comic Relief was a great triumph, great fun was had by all and £70 was raised for a fantastic cause.

Some members of the Penparcau Youth enjoyed an educational and fun trip to the Big Bang Science Fair in Birmingham.

The curry and quiz night was also great success with multiple teams competing. All proceeds will go towards further youth projects and events.

This fortnight the forum had its first 60+ shopping trip to Morrisons, which will be a fortnightly occurrence on a Tuesday - with the week in-between being a 60+ club based in the Hub.

The Welsh Hearts day raised £150.

Residents from Hafan y Waun were among over 100 attendees and a fantastic day was had by all!

The café will be open throughout the week as usual, offering fantastic value drinks and food, additionally there are many events taking place this week in the Hub that you won’t want to miss!

Upcoming dates for your diary include a Fashion Show for Penparcau Community Forum and Hafan y Waun, on 3 May, 7pm until late.

And on 1 June will be Polish Heritage Day. Last year the event was hugely successful so save the date - more details will follow soon.
