Bydd taith i’r Ysgwrn (Cartref Hedd Wyn) yn cael ei threfnu ar gyfer dydd Sul, 2 Medi, gyda’r bws yn cychwyn am 10yb.

Coed y Bont

ON Sunday, 2 September, there will be a day for the family at Coed y Bont.

‘Fun in the Woods’ will be held in the woods from 11am until 4pm, and will consist of various activities, including a teddy bear’s picnic, nature trail quiz, fire-starting, woodland craft, guided walks and bushcraft.

Everything will be free of charge, but a donation would be appreciated.

The organisations involved are Llais y Goedwig, Vincent Wildlife Trust and Wildlife Trust South and West Wales.

Everyone will meet at Coed y Bont car park, but in case of bad weather, please check on facebook.com/coedybont first or phone 01974 831639 by 10am.

MAE Alejandro Jones o Batagonia ar daith yng Nghymru ar hyn o bryd, ac ar nos Wener, 2 Medi, bydd yn canu ac yn dweud ei hanes ym Mar Pafiliwn Pontrhydfendigaid am 7.30yh.

Yn ogystal ag Alejandro, bydd Dai Jones, Llanilar yn llywio’r noson.

Bont show

THE annual Pontrhydfendigaid Show will be held on Dolfawr fields on Saturday, 18 August.

The judging will commence at 11am.

There will be refreshments available and free entry to all classes.

The president for this year is Arwyn Hughes.

The horticultural and craft section will be held in a marquee on the show field and will be open to the public at 1pm.

WI

THE August meeting of the WI consisted of retail therapy in Aberystwyth and a Welsh afternoon tea at the Conrah Hotel near Llanfarian.

These activities were thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

Minibus transport for the day was provided by Ystwyth Transport, a local voluntary organisation.

The next meeting on Wednesday, 5 September, at 1.30pm in Pantyfedwen Hall, is a talk by Prof David Austin, chair of the Strata Florida Abbey Trust, on recent excavations at the abbey and the planned new museum to house artefacts from the site.
