Inner Wheel

AT the October meeting, president Margaret welcomed district chairman Carol Tynan to the lunch and meeting.

Kathy Batten lit the friendship candle, Katharine Dobson read the prayer and Angela Swann toasted the north Rome club in the international toast.

Carol inaugurated Michal Peacock as a new member and presented her with her badge. She then gave an interesting talk about her life and how she came to join Inner Wheel, demonstrated by various magic tricks.

Members were reminded about the tombola at the Ganolfan on Friday, 21 October, and they voted unanimously to send a donation to Shelter Box regarding the Haiti disaster.

Local produce market

The next market will be held at the Canolfan on Saturday, 29 October, from 9.30am to 2pm.

The market will be raising funds for the Breast Cancer Awareness charity, so if you care about cancer then wear something pink. Come and get truly local produce and crafts, start the Christmas shopping and help us celebrate Hallowe’en.
