Clwb Cerdded Tregaron Walking Club
THE next walk is scheduled for 9 June and has been organised by Bethan Evans (01970 611709) and Debbie White (07792 228124).
The theme, is ‘Discover Heritage’, as Talybont has a rich heritage of mines and mills. This walk takes in the signs of past industry, including the most notable example at the Leri woollen mills, which once produced fine tweed, but is now abandoned.
The walkers will also visit the grave of Taliesin, the ‘Chief of Bards’.
The walk starts and finishes in Talybont, with the opportunity to view information about the Leri mill in the local pub afterwards.
The walk will last approximately four hours and is graded moderate, over a distance of 5.5 miles, with an ascent of 1250ft/380m.
Meet outside the Talbot Hotel at 9.30am or the Green Talybont (GR SN 654892) at 10.30am.

Eglwys Sant Caron
THE church will be open on Saturday, 25 May (Ffair Garon Day) from 11am to 4pm
There will be another opportunity to view slides of the pony trekking of the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s.
