WI
MEMBERS had a really enjoyable meeting in June when Linnie from the Pantglas Centre in Llanddewi Brefi held an interactive session of gentle yoga.
Everyone participated, from the oldest to the youngest, and they all learned a lot from an excellent teacher.
The raffle, given by Monica Rose, was won by Rhyswen Jones, and Pat Jones gave the vote of thanks. The hostess in charge for the evening was Bronwen Williams who was supported by a team of helpers.
The next meeting, ‘Nanny to a Saudi Prince’, with Diane Smith will be held in the Memorial Hall on Wednesday, 13 July, starting at 7.30pm.
The group’s annual outing will be to the National Botanic Gardens near Carmarthen on Tuesday, 26 July.
They are welcoming members of the community to join them. Call Bronwen Williams on 01974 298236 for more information.

Clwb Cerdded
THE next walk is scheduled for 9 July and is called ‘A weekend away walking part of Offa’s Dyke long distance path’ with leader Martin Pugh (01974 298989).
Offa’s Dyke is a 1,200-year-old earthen boundary and is Britain’s longest archaeological monument, stretching for 129km through the Welsh borders from Treuddyn, near Wrexham, to Sedbury Cliffs on the Severn estuary in southern Gloucestershire.
The surviving dyke typically consists of a bank which can be up to eight metres high associated with a deep western ditch.
Contact the leader for more details about the walk, accommodation, travelling costs and departure.
