AN excellent lunch was enjoyed by members on Wednesday, 26 October at the Bowls Club. George Gibbons called for the bingo entertainment and included two rounds of Irish Bingo with prizes of boxes of fresh eggs.

In consideration of the Lunch Club’s support of the Uwchradd Campws (Ysgol Henry Richard) pupils’ musical skills over the years Miss Lewis has bought a shield. Some of the Lunch Club Committee attended the afternoon performance of Campws’s Eisteddfod on 19 October and Delyth presented the shield to Keely who had won the Instrumentalist Competition playing her violin.

The next lunch will be on Wednesday, 23 November at Y Talbot when Donald Morgan will be doing some Christmas flower arrangements. WIMUSIC in hospitals was the subject of our October meeting and when we invited Robert Aitkin CBE to come along to talk to us we really didn’t know what to expect. He was such an enthusiastic speaker, we didn’t want him to stop and during the course of his presentation he told us moving stories, played the piano and burst into song. Our next meeting will be our AGM which will be held in the Memorial Hall on Wednesday, 9 November starting at 7pm.
