Clwb Cinio

AN excellent lunch was enjoyed by 41 members on Wednesday, 25 January, at the Rugby Club. George Gibbons was the bingo caller and he finished with two rounds of Irish Bingo with prizes of boxes of his fresh eggs. Details of the next lunch will be announced later.

Carnival

THIS year’s carnival will be held on Saturday, 29 July, in the mart.

TREGARON Show Committee is holding a bingo night in the Rugby Club, on Thursday, 16 February, at 7.30pm.

Ein gwr gwadd ym mis Ionawr oedd y Parch Goronwy Evans, Llanbed, a fu’n sôn am ei lyfr “Ar Grwydyr gyda’r crwydiaid”. Soniodd am nifer o’r crwydriaid a nodir yn ei lyfr. Cafodd sylwadau o’r gynulleidfa am eu cof hwy o’r crwydriaidMae’r cyfarfod nesaf ar 23 Chwefror, yng ngofal Cyril Evans.Yr ydym yn cwrdd am 7.30yh yn Festri Capel Bwlchgwynt, ac mae croeso i bawb i ddod.

IN January they welcomed Geraint Morgan, lead pharmacist for Ceredi-gion to the WI meeting. His talk covered not only his interest and involvement in pharmacy, but also growing up in the small rural village of Bwlchllan, and attending the local secondary school and then Cardiff University. Rugby, football, and travel, are his interests and he spent a long time answering questions from a very interested audience.The February meeting will be held on Wednesday, 8 February, in the Memo-rial Hall starting at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Jasmine Wilson from Pontrhydfendigaid who is well known in the area for her many and varied activities. For more information please talk to Monica Rose on 298165.
