Clwb Cerdded/Walking Club

THE next walk is scheduled for 9 December, and is organised by Avarinah Davies, 01974 298 259.

This is the walk about The Legend of The Elephant Tregaron.

Tregaron has many myths and legends.

This certainly is one of the main legends that surround this Ceredigion town.

In 1848 a circus visited the town and with it an elephant of the story is recorded in the media of the time.

The walk itself starts at the location where the elephant was given the fateful trunkful of water.

The walk starts from outside Y Talbot at 10am and is to last approximately four hours and is graded a moderate walk with an ascent of 650ft/200m.

Should you wish to become a member of Clwb Cerdded Tregaron Walking Club then please feel free to give Dafydd the secretary a ring on 01974 298 150.
