PRESIDENT Mair Worsey welcomed her fellow members to the February meeting held in the Talyllyn Railway restaurant. She informed the meeting about the recent death of Glenys Allen, Crynllwyn, who was a past member of the club.

£100 is to be donated in her memory to the elected charity, Pancreatic Cancer Action. The members also voted to donate £100 to Mary’s Meals, the district overseas charity, and £150 to the Inner Wheel Association president’s annual childrens charity, namely Jessie’s Fund.

Following the meeting, the group welcomed the guest speaker for the evening, Rev Ruth Hansford of St Cadfan’s Church. All the members enjoyed Ruth’s talk on her journey and her career that brought her to Tywyn 12 months ago via Thailand and other interesting places.

President Mair (pictured) on thanking the speaker, presented her with a cheque for £100 for the St Cadfan’s Church Fund.
