Garden club

TYWYN Garden Club will commence monthly meetings again on 8 October.

Stan Mahon of Kerimeg Nursing, near Carno will be the first speaker of the new season.

Mr Mahon will demonstrate winter/ autumn planters.

The group meets at 7.30pm.

The group had a lovely evening for the floral train in August.

It stayed dry and was very well supported.

Neuadd Pendre

A SPECIAL musical event will be held at Neuadd Pendre on Thursday, 19 September.

Brothers Jonathan and Tom Scott, resident musicians at the Bridgwater Hall Manchester, will be at the Wurlitzer Pipe Organ and Bluthner Grand Piano.

Jonathan (organ) and Tom (piano) will perform a selection of popular classical compositions, including from Rossini The Barber of Seville, Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue, Mozart The Magic Flute, Saint Saens Dance Macabre, Grieg Peer Gynt and Dukas Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

The Wuritzer Organ will be skillfully demonstrated in all its modes!
