Garden club

THE club met in Tywyn Baptist Church on Tuesday, 12 November.

The secretary, Hilary Harrison has arranged the annual new year lunch to be held at The Proper Gander on Sunday, 26 January 2020 at 12.30pm for 1pm. Please give Hilary your names, menu choices and payment at the next meeting on 10 December or by 14 January 2020.

Plants that were brought to the plant stall were sold.

Dr David Church promoted three books from the extensive library.

Margaret Evans welcomed the guest speaker, Mary Page, who gave an interesting talk about her care of injured birds over many years. Jean Waterman gave the vote of thanks.

The next meeting will be in Tywyn Baptist Church on Tuesday, 10 December, Emma Maxwell will be the guest speaker and her talk will be on ‘Plan your food garden’.

The meeting is open to everyone 7.30pm prompt; £2 each for visitors and £1 for members at the door. Festive refreshments will be served at the end of the meeting.
