Garden club

THE club met on Tuesday, 8 November, in the Baptist church. The chairman and members were pleased to welcome Eurwyn Roberts to hear his talk about ‘Preparing plants for winter’. A number of plants were for sale. The vote of thanks was given by Jean Westerman. Information was given by secretary S Yeomans about the annual meal wich will take place on Sunday, 22 January at 1pm at the Propergander. The cost and menu will be available at the next meeting, which will be held in the Baptist Church on Tuesday, 13 December.

Margaret Carter will be the next speaker. She will demonstrate ‘floral arrangements for the festive season’. A competition for members will be ‘a traditional table decoration’ to be judged by Margaret.
