Blood pressure
IN association with Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland and the Stroke Association, residents in the area are invited to free blood pressure testing on Saturday, 14 April, from 9.30am until 1pm in the Baptist Church on the High Street.
High blood pressure remains the single biggest risk factor for stroke, contributing to over half (54 per cent) of strokes in England.
Know Your Blood Pressure Day is about raising awareness of the link between high blood pressure and stroke.
Getting your blood pressure checked is quick and easy.
It is hoped many people from the area will take advantage on the day since it is a simple way to reduce the risk of having a stroke.
