Women’s Institute

A GOOD few members of the Waunfawr WI had the pleasure of attending the Waunfawr Community Association’s Summer Fair on Saturday, enjoying the sunshine and the company of friends and neighbours from across the Waun at what was a very successful event.

The institute is hoping to increase its membership substantially this coming autumn, and with this in mind had a table on the field from which publicity material and copies of the WI magazine ‘WI Life’ were given out to let people know of the warm welcome available to ladies on the Waun at their local WI.

A good number of programmes for the year were also given out and the table also displayed some of the craft items which had been made by institute members at recent meetings.

The monthly meetings held on the first Monday of the month at 7pm in the Community Hall will recommence after our normal summer break, on 3 September.
