Meirionnydd Ramblers will walk from Penychain to Pwllheli on Tuesday, 6 October.

A train journey from Barmouth to Penychain on the scenic Cambrian Coast line will be followed by a linear walk to Pwllheli.

Start on tracks and paths heading from Penychain Station and across the fields towards the coast.

We soon join the Wales Coastal Path which we follow through sand dunes and along the beach to reach the outskirts of Pwllheli.

We should have time to visit a cafe for refreshments before making our way to the station for the return train. 

This is a Group grade C linear 6.5 mile National Grade: Moderate walk.

Start at 9.40am. Estimated finish time, 3pm

Meet outside Barmouth Station (coast side, Grid Ref: SH611158) at 9.40am for the 10.01am train to Penychain, or join the train at any station along the route.

It arrives at Penychain at 11.04am ready for the start of the walk.

The return train from Pwllheli is at 3.37pm.

The start time is when the walk commences. Please arrive earlier to ensure you are ready for the start
