A woman has been sentenced after causing over £10,000 worth of damage to CCTV in Barmouth.

April Lock, of King Edwards Street, Barmouth, appeared at Llandudno Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 22 September, after being charged with criminal damage and theft.

In June this year, Lock attended a housing association property on Jubilee Road, from which she was banned from attending.

“She forced open two doors there and caused damage to the building’s locking mechanisms,” a North Wales Police spokesperson said.

“She then spray painted over 12 CCTV cameras in the building and caused damage to the smoke detector.

“The total cost of the damage caused was assessed as £10,660.

“She was sentenced to six months, suspended for 12 months.”
