Lloches newydd

The ‘Lloches’ or shelter was created as the pupils of Ysgol Gynradd Rhydypennau were keen to have somewhere quiet and sheltered to sit during break times. The eco committee discussed the idea with staff and began to draw models, before creating the prototype (seen in the picture). They commissioned local carpenter Carwyn Lloyd-Jones to construct the shelter, which is a huge hit with pupils.
