OVER 30 companies from across the world are interested in building nuclear submarine inspired reactors at Trawsfynydd Power Station.

The Trawsfynydd site is being considered by the companies for the small modular reactors (SMRs) which are part of a new generation of nuclear power plant designs under consideration in the UK.

Now 38 companies have submitted expressions of interest to participate in a government competition to trial this type of nuclear technology.

News whether they have moved to the next phase will be revealed in the coming weeks.
