A FRUSTRATED Blaenau Ffestiniog resident has criticised the council for not collecting the bins.

The resident, who does not want to be named, said they should have been emptied on Tuesday, but people are still waiting three days later and bins are blocking roads and pavements.

Gwynedd Council said some recycling and food waste collections were missed and they will be picked up at the weekend.

The concerned resident told the Cambrian News that bins are "blocking the pavement and so prams, etc. can’t get past", adding in some places "people have to step out into the road".

A Gwynedd Council spokesperson said: "It seems some recycling and food waste collections were missed in the area earlier in the week and that staff will be returning tomorrow to collect the missed collections."
