I write in support of Roger and Jean Mathews’ earlier letter regarding parking on Waunfawr road, Aberystwyth.

There is frequent congestion on the road between CK’s store and the entrance to Heol Alun, largely caused by residents’ parking and school traffic.

The recently designated parking markings allow parking directly across from the junction of Rhoshendre with Waun Road near CK’s.

If vehicles park in this area it will increase congestion and cause visibility problems and furthermore seems to contravene the rules of the Highway Code, which disallow parking across or within 10 metres of a junction.
