Pubs, cafes and restaurants across the county closed last night under the orders of the Prime Minister, in a bid to halt the spread of the coronavirus.
Nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres have also been told to close.
An exception has been made for takeaway food, allowing outlets providing food-to-go to stay open.
Aberystwyth University Sports Centre was among those that closed last night, until further notice.
A spokesperson said: "As the current situation around the coronavirus unfolds, the health and wellbeing of students, staff and community members remains our top priority. Following latest guidelines from the UK Government, the university has made the decision to close the sports centre and all its facilities.
"We would like to reassure our members that no monthly payments via salaries or direct debits will be collected until we reopen, so there is no need to cancel your membership."
