TWO “local legends” will find out on Friday if they have been chosen to participate in the adventure of a lifetime.
Rhody and Sam Simms are in the final round in a bid to secure a place in the final 15 for the Vintage Air Rally 2018 which will be running from Ushuaia in Argentina to Florida in the USA, with a pit stop in Patagonia, flying in an iconic mid-20th century airplane.
The duo have a one in four chance in winning one of the spaces as they have made the final 60 despite hundreds of applications from all over the globe.
Recently featured in the Cambrian News, Rhody is a fashion photographer and Sam, his wife, is a model.
Both travel all over the world with their work, but home is a farm near Llanbedr Airfield where they keep their plane Zippy.
Sam and Rhody will find out on Friday if they have made the cut.
Sam and Rhody are seen wearing their Timeout Snowdonia t-shirts. A percentage of the sales of these shirts are donated to the Snowdonia Giving charity.
