A couple who sold their house through an online competition are back to raffle off another property.

Ryan McLean and Katherine Jablonowska set up a raffle for Cwellyn Cottage in Criccieth to raise money for The Children’s Society and to give someone the chance to win a ‘dream home’.

Lucky winner Janet Shepherd was picked at random during a Facebook live event last September, and the draw verified by a solicitor.

Now the couple are back offering people the chance to win their old neighbours’ farmhouse.

“We said goodbye to our lovely Cwellyn Cottage, and its new owner Janet and her family are really looking forward to spending time there as soon as regulations allow!” Ryan and Katherine said.

“It was admittedly harder than we anticipated to say goodbye, but we know it has gone to a fantastic family and so much love and positivity came from that little gem that it helped ease the transition! We wish them every happiness.

“After the fantastic response and result from our first competition, we decided to embark on a new venture and put all our knowledge and experience into action.

“We started CwellynDream Raffle Management to run competitions on behalf of others who want to offer their homes in the same accessible and transparent manner as we did.

“Our lovely former neighbours David and Christine Jones need to relocate closer to family and instead of going through the usual housing market during the ongoing pandemic to sell their stunning home, they decided to be our very first clients.

“We are positive that you will absolutely fall in love with Cefn Isa Farmhouse, nestled between the Ll?n Peninsula and Snowdonia.

“David and Christine have lovingly restored this traditional 19th century stone property into a truly special family home.”

Tickets are available now and they must sell 130,000. The competition closes on 8 June, or before, if the ticket limit is reached before then.

“The support we have received has been absolutely incredible, and we can’t wait to change someone’s life again,” the couple added. “We are absolutely thrilled to be supporting The Children’s Society again.

“As the pandemic progresses, it is more apparent than ever how important their work is in supporting vulnerable young people across the UK.
