A TALYBONT couple have vowed to “remember their little boy” who tragically died less than half an hour after being born “in the most positive way they can” with the foundation of a children’s charity in his name.
Kara Wyn Jones and Sam Penfold, lost their son Arthur Wyn in March, and now have a dream of setting up an all-purpose retreat in Portugal where children from the ages of 11 to 16 will come from all over the world to enjoy activities from gardening and cooking to kayaking and beekeeping through the new Arthur Wyn Foundation.
Sam said the plan is to give children the opportunities to try things his son would have, but could not now enjoy.
The foundation will give children the opportunity to try 24 activities, one for each of the 24 minutes that Arthur Wyn lived.
The couple will begin the long-term plans with fishing and shooting activity days in Wales, after embarking on a fundraising drive.
of our son, we have decided to remember our little boy in the most positive way we can,” the couple said.
“We want to be able to offer children the opportunities we know our son would have loved.

The couple said they were “blessed” and “grateful” with the support they have received so far from the community.
