A MACHYNLLETH man has been banned from the road by magistrates for a year after pleading guilty to drug driving.
Evan Rowlands, of Yr Hafod, Forge Road, appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates last month.
The court heard that the 41-year-old was stopped while driving a BMW X3 on the A487 at Aberystwyth on 22 November last year.
Tests showed he had Benzoylecgonine - the major metabolite of cocaine - in his system.
Rowlands was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £400.
He must also pay costs of £85 as well as a surcharge of £160.
