AN ABERYSTWYTH man has been fined by magistrates after admitting drug possession.

Richard Wood, of Flat 1, 20 Bridge Street, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates' Court on 13 January.

The 61-year-old pleaded guilty to possession of 1.25g of herbal cannabis on 18 November in Aberystwyth.

Wood was fined £40 and must pay a surcharge of £16.

No costs were ordered as Wood had spent a night in police custody.
