A Borth man who caused more than £2,000 worth of a damage to a property in Aberystwyth has been handed a conditional discharge by magistrates.

Samuel Ward, of 3 London House, High Street, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 12 August.

The 36-year-old pleaded guilty at the hearing to a charge of criminal damage by causing £2,413.20 worth of damage to a property on Vulcan Street on 6 December last year.

Magistrates handed Ward a 12 month conditional discharge.

Magistrates also ordered him to pay compensation of £1,500 as a contribution towards fixing the damage due to Ward’s ‘low means’.

Ward must also pay £85 costs and a surcharge to fund victim services of £26.
