FOUR men will face trial later this year following the death of a teenager in a Pen Llyn car park.
Mold Crown Court set a November date for trial during a hearing today (Wednesday).
Gamekeepers Benjamin George Fitzsimmons, 22, of Nanhoron, Pwllheli, and Ben Andrew Wilson 28, of Ely Street, Ely, Cambridgeshire deny a gross negligence manslaughter charge.
They and two others, gamekeeper Harry Robert Butler, 23, of Llaniestyn, Pwllheli, and labourer Michael David Fitzsimons, 25, of Nanhoron, Pwllheli, denied possessing a loaded shotgun in public places, at Pwllheli, the Bodfuan Estate, Abersoch and Llanbedrog.
Mold Crown Court heard how Peter Colwell, 18, was shot dead in the rear seat of a car parked in the car park of the Ship Inn in Llanbedrog in February of last year.
Butler and Michael Fizsimmons, who were rear seat passengers, sitting each side of the deceased, applied for the charges against them to be quashed at this stage.
But following legal argument their applications were refused by Mr Justice Clive Lewis.
The trial, which is expected to last three weeks, will start on 19 November.
Mr Justice Lewis agreed to an application by prosecuting barrister Patrick Harrington QC that the trial should be held at Caernarfon.
The trial will be conducted by Mr Justice Picken.
