A Llanybydder man has been banned from the road for almost four years after being found guilty of failing to provide a breath specimen to police.

Ryan Passenger, of Hafan Deg, appeared for sentencing before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 19 August.

The 46-year-old had denied a charge of failing to provide a breath specimen to police in Aberystwyth on 28 June but was found guilty following a trial on 18 August.

Passenger was also found guilty of driving without a licence and admitted a charge of driving without insurance.

Passenger was disqualified from driving for 46 months and given a community order to include 100 hours of unpaid work and rehabilitation.

He must also pay £650 costs and a £114 surcharge.
