Police are investigating a fire which occurred at a shop near Newcastle Emlyn in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

No-one was injured in the fire at Riverside Health, Adpar.

A 28-year-old local male has been charged with arson with intent or reckless as to whether life was endangered, burglary and fraud by false representation.

He was due to appear before Aberystwyth Magistrates Court today.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time or anyone who has information that could help the investigation is asked to contact police on 101.
