A NEFYN mum cleared of threatening to burn down a beach hut has spoken of her relief that her five-month ‘nightmare’ is at an end.
Ceri Gwynn Jones, 30, went on trial at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, but was cleared of threatening behaviour towards Susan Bradshaw in an incident on a Llyn beach on 8 August this year.
The mother of two was accused of threatening to burn down a beach hut belonging to Ms Bradshaw.
Ms Jones told the Cambrian News that the last five months have been ‘hell’ and that she was relieved to finally clear her name.
She said: “I’m so relieved it’s all over and my name has been cleared – it’s been a long five months, it’s been a horrible experience.
“I’ve maintained my innocence from the beginning, I never used any threatening words that day and I certainly never said I’d burn down a beach hut.
“It was a disagreement which sadly ended up with me going to court.”
Ms Jones, who works at Chilli Penguin Stoves in Pwllheli, said she has had sleepless nights worrying what effect the allegations would have on her life and in particular her two young children, 10-year-old Jacob and eight-year-old Ellie.
