A Nefyn motorist has been banned from driving for 20 months after pleading guilty to drug driving.

Guto Hughes, 19, of Tanllan, Tan y Llan, appeared before Caernarfon Magistrates' Court on 8 August.

The court heard how he was stopped while driving on the B4535 at Pentre Uchaf, Pwllheli on 29 May this year.

Testing showed that Hughes had cannabis in his system exceeding the specified limit.

Magistrates disqualified Hughes from driving for 20 months and ordered he pay prosucution costs of £85 as well as a surcharge to fund victim services of £114.
