A Borth man has admitted possessing and distributing indecent images of children.
Timothy Alexander McKenna-Gorham, of Flat 5, Ty Pantyfedwen, Borth, has pleaded guilty to possession of over 100 indecent images of children, as well as distributing indecent images.
He will now appear in Swansea Crown Court to be sentenced after magistrates said the case was too serious for them to deal with, and will also have to register as a sex offender.
McKenna-Gorham, 67, pleaded guilty to possession of 21 Category A images – the most serious – as well as 18 Category B images and 87 Category C images. All of those charges related to 28 January 2019.
He also entered guilty pleas to distributing a Category B image and distributing a Category C image, with both charges relating to January 2017.
Prosecutor Ceri Ellis-Jones said she believed the sentencing power of the magistrates was not sufficient and that the case should be sentenced at crown court.
McKenna-Gorham was released on unconditional bail until a sentencing hearing at Swansea Crown Court on Friday, 13 March.
