A Pentrebach man who rode an e-scooter with cannabis in his system has been banned from the road for 12 months.
Damian James R McKenna, of Central Garage, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 7 October.
The court heard that the 50-year-old was stopped while riding an e-scooter on Bridge Street in Lampeter on 24 June this year.
Roadside drug wipes and later laboratory testing showed McKenna had cannabis in his system exceeding the specified limit.
Checks also showed McKenna was uninsured.
Magistrates disqualified McKenna from driving for 12 months and handed him a fine of £120.
He must also pay prosecution costs of £85 as well as a surcharge to fund victim services of £48.
