A PONTERWYD man who produced more than a kilo of cannabis is to stand trial accused of intending to supply some or all of it to someone else.
Paul Michael Thomas Withnall, 36, of Maes y Awel, is said to have set up a cannabis farm in a disused property.
Withnall appeared before Judge Patrick Curran at Swansea Crown Court this week for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
He admitted producing cannabis between 19 October 2015 and 1 April 2016.
Withnall also admitted possessing more than a kilo of cannabis on March 31, 2016, but denied intending to supply it.
He also admitted illegally extracting electricity.
Dean Pulling, prosecuting, said a trial would be necessary on the intent to supply charge.
The trial will begin on 1 February and Withnall was granted bail meanwhile.
