A man has appeared in court charged with rape following a large-scale police search in Lampeter on Thursday.

Saul Henvey, of Tregaron, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The 45-year-old was arrested by police following a “large police presence and search” in the Forest Road area of Lampeter on Thursday, 6 May.

He was remanded into custody and will next appear at Swansea Crown Court on 7 June.
