A St Dogmaels man will stand trial later this year after denying stalking a woman.

Benjamin Smith, of Flat 3, Grove Villa, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 23 September.

The 41-year-old pleaded not guilty to stalking a woman in St Dogmaels between 2 October 2025 and 26 February this year.

Smith admitted charges of damaging a cell at Aberystwyth Police Station on 9 October last year as well as cultivating a cannabis plant at his home on 8 October 2025.

Smith is due to stand trial on the stalking charge at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 10 December where he will also be sentenced for the admitted offences.

He was remanded on conditional bail until the trial date.
