A PENPARCAU man who assaulted two police officers and a St Johns Ambulance crew member has been handed 200 hours of unpaid work.

Billy Prosser, of 12 Parc Dinas, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court last week.

The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to three common assaults on Pc Petseva, Pc Edwards, and St Johns Ambulance member David Powell at Penparcau on 2 October this year.

Magistrates handed Prosser a 12 month community order to include 200 hours of unpaid work and 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirements.

Magistrates said the offences were “aggravated” due to being assaults on emergency workers.

Prosser was also ordered to pay a total of £600 in compensation to the assault victims.

He must also pay prosecution costs as well as a surcharge to fund victim services.
