A CARDIGAN woman is to stand trial accused of blackmail.

Linda Mary Thomas, 61, is accused of demanding with menaces £20,000 in October, 2015, from a man who cannot be named because of a court order.

Thomas, of Briscwm Cottages, attended a plea and trial preparation hearing at Swansea Crown Court this week and entered a plea of not guilty.

Judge Patrick Curran set down 6 March for the start of the trial.

Thomas was granted bail until then.
