A TALYBONT woman threatened to “blow up” her neighbour’s car as part of an ongoing neighbourly dispute, magistrates have heard.

Kylie Marie Dulson, of 96 Maes y Deri, had been due to face a trial charged with three charges of disorderly conduct and a charge of criminal damages.

But she changed her plea to guilty on two of the disorderly conduct charges.

The other charges were dismissed by Aberystwyth magistrates.

Prosecutor Rhian Jones said on 7 June Dulson, 26, had hurled abuse at her neighbours Nicola and Shauna Bradley while housing officers had been visiting her.

Ms Jones said Dulson got involved in a row with her neighbours and was heard to shout at Nicola Bradley: “F*** off, I’ll blow your car up”, before making a threat to Shauna Bradley that she’d hit her.

Ms Jones said a housing officer who witnessed the incident said both sides had been verbally abusive, but efforts to calm Dulson down had failed.

They had even left for 15 minutes to try and let her calm down, but had to rearrange their appointment with her as she was still angry.

Defence solicitor Alan Lewis said Dulson believed that her neighbours had poured petrol on an incinerator in her garden which had sparked a fire which had damaged a range of items in Dulson’s garden just days before the incident.

Mr Lewis said Dulson felt that nothing was being done about her complaints and that led to Dulson “seeing red” and “letting off steam” by shouting at her neighbours.

Dulson was given a conditional discharge for six-months. She will also pay costs totalling £105.
