Lampeter cyclists, who completed an arduous 400km bike ride in the Dawn Till Dusk marathon event on 22 June in support of Parkinson’s UK, say they have been amazed by the response of the wider community.
Tim Strang, one of the riders who completed the distance in over 16 hours, said: “Yes, it was a hard day in the saddle for the riders, but the support from volunteers, sponsors, other cyclists and donors has been hugely impressive.”
Between their JustGiving page, cash donations and sponsor support, the event has already raised nearly £2,000 for the Parkinson’s UK charity. “The JustGiving page is still open and further donations to the cause would be very gratefully received,” added Tim.
