THE grief-stricken father of 25-year-old Adam Tucker, who died last week, has thanked the community for their “invaluable” support over the last week.
Rob Tucker, who lost his youngest child when he peacefully passed away in his sleep on Sunday, 26 June, has received hundreds of messages and photos from Adam’s friends who will always remember him fondly.
“The tributes we’ve received showed him as he was - humorous, loyal and intelligent,” Rob told the Cambrian News.
“So many people called him the BFG [Big Friendly Giant] and kept on saying how he helped them or cheered them up or protected them if they were in trouble.
“He seemed to be a gravitational force that people were attracted to.
“The memories that have been shared with us by all of his friends have been an amazing comfort to us all.
“Adam had the ability to make us cry with anger and laugh with joy, even at the same time, and the memories we’ve received still have that effect on us.
“I would just like to convey the family’s thanks for all the messages of comfort, the flower’s, the cards and most importantly, the hugs that people have given us.
“It is such a comfort to have known that Adam was so well liked as a person.”
Adam’s funeral will take place tomorrow (Friday, 8 July) at Aberystwyth Crematorium at 1pm.
