Aberystwyth University DanceSport are organising a Red Ball on Friday, 4 March, at the Marine Hotel, Aberystwyth to raise funds for British Heart Foundation Cymru.

The event is being organised by the students of Aberystwyth University DanceSport. The tickets cost £38 and will include a three-course meal and entertainment.

AUDS club president Hazel Lombard said “This will be a great evening and all money raised will help fund the charity’s life-saving work and research. Dress code is formal evening wear, guests invited to wear one red accessory in keeping with BHF Cymru colours. Our friends in the armed forces, police and emergency services are welcome to wear dress uniform if they prefer. Tickets are available from [email protected] Phone: 07572 019348.

Jayne Lewis, fund-raising volunteer manager, said: “I would like to thank Hazel and the AUDS Committee at the University for organising a ball for BHF Cymru. Please come and support the event. The money raised will go towards our Mending Broken Hearts Appeal, which is the largest fund-raising appeal ever launched in BHF Cymru’s history.

“The goal is simple: to fund the research that could begin to ‘mend broken hearts’ in as little as 10 years and save and improve the lives of millions within decades. With someone in the UK having a heart attack every 6 minutes you just don’t know when your family might be affected.”Tickets, which must be bought in advance, can be purchased from the Aberystwyth Students' Union website, or by clicing here.
