Madam,

There is talk about a debate for regeneration of the town of Harlech. Well, until St David’s Hotel is pulled down - which the whole town would give a sigh of relief about and applaud - there can be no regeneration.

This site gives the whole town a look of tiredness. It is almost the entrance to the town. On seeing, this people instantly know Harlech is lacking in getting rid of the past decay. With no proper laws to prevent ancient buildings being knocked down before they fall down, it should be written in law, on every deed, that, if the building is in decay, it is compulsory that it is pulled down - for the safety of the community. The county council is very lacking in foresight, to allow this to go on and on.

Yours etc,

Jean Miles, Heol y Bryn, Harlech.
