Madam,

As a member of the Welsh Government EU Advisory Group, former chair of the European Movement in Wales and founding chair of the National Assembly Cross Party Group on Europe in 2015, I am delighted to see the further surge in support for a People’s Vote, in Carmarthenshire, mid and west Wales and throughout the nation.

Brexit is an existential threat to our rural heartlands, as to our post-industrial communities here in Wales. So much has become clear in the two years since the flawed Referendum of June 2016 and such is the gridlock in Parliament, that an informed decision can only be taken by the people.

I joined many friends from across Wales, from all parties and none, in the historic Peoples’ Vote march in London on Saturday.
