Madam,
Most of your readers will be dismayed at the tone and venom of Eric Richards’ letter (‘Worse ambulance service than some third world countries’, Cambrian News, 2 February). His intentions, I presume, were to try and justify MP Liz Saville Roberts’s condemnation of the Welsh Ambulance Service’s response to road accident in Pen Llyn. If Mr Richards has visited some of the “third world countries” he should know they don’t even have an ambulance service in most cases. To justify his tirade he uses an unfortunate personal experience which occurred to a family member. I am sure that many will sympathise with him for that. However, to make sweeping allegations about all the hardworking dedicated men and women who comprise our wonderful ambulance service is not acceptable.
Yours etc
Cllr Owain Williams
Leader
Llais Gwynedd
Pistyll.
