Madam,

I had the misfortune to once again see the carnage caused by another accident at the Dorglwyd Junction (Commins Coch/A487 Trunk Road) at lunchtime on Saturday.

This junction with the volume of traffic and size of vehicles that now use it, is at best dangerous and at worst ‘a death trap’ and nothing gets done about it. Despite heavy lobbying at the highest levels, the pleading voices continue to fall on deaf ears!

It is about time Welsh Government manned-up and put into action the plans they’ve had sitting on the table for this junction for over 40 years, or do we have to wait for a series of fatalities to make them wake up?

Yours etc,

Cllr Paul Hinge, Ceredigion County Council’s Armed Forces Champion (RFCA member) County councillor, Tirymynach Ward, Tregerddan, Bow Street, Aberystwyth.
